A neo-noir thriller based on real events in an Argentine port city in the mid-1980s.
Marga works as a sex worker for a violent pimp. She is pregnant. Sex workers in the district where they work are being murdered, and fear is spreading among them. Marga therefore starts her own club, where the girls feel safer. The club does well, but she also makes several powerful enemies.
When her house and her family are attacked, they defend themselves with weapons. Marga takes all the blame and becomes a legend: Pepita the Gunslinger.
