The Furious

A father goes on a quest for revenge against a group of kidnappers who have abducted his daughter.

Wang Wei’s daughter is kidnapped by a powerful criminal network. Wei initially attempts to seek help from the police, but the network’s tentacles reach deep into the force, leaving him no choice but to take matters into his own hands. His only ally is the journalist Navin; Navin’s wife has also disappeared, and he suspects the same network is behind her vanishing. What follows is a breakneck action movie that constantly outdoes itself with virtuosic, brutal, and expertly choreographed action sequences. This is the most spectacular action film since The Raid movies and became an instant hit with both critics and audiences following its world premiere in Toronto last year.
