Scent of Pho

Tradition and modern life collide in this comedy centered on pho, the icon of Vietnamese cuisine.

When the owner of the neighboring restaurant dies, Mui has to look inward. He needs an heir to take over his pho shop, but his son is more interested in his own terrible paintings. Although his son-in-law is interested, Mui sees him as too much of an outsider to take over the family business. The choice then falls on his grandson, who is passionate about cooking. The problem is that his mother has other plans and wants to move the entire family south. She has no interest in staying just because of the pho shop.
