Nagieb Khaja is an award-winning war correspondent, journalist and writer with Afghan roots, born in Copenhagen in 1979. He has covered the wars in Afghanistan, Syria and Gaza. His documentaries have been shown at Al Jazeera, BBC, Guardian TV and Vice International. Khaja is one of very few journalists across the world who have had access to leaders from jihadist groups like Al-Qaida and Taliban.
Khaja is visiting this year’s festival with the film Taliban Land and will be present at select screenings for Q&As and will participate in panel «What happened when Taliban came to power in 2021?» in the section The Critical Room.
