Film & Conversation

In connection with the screening of the Peruvian film Mistura, Film fra Sør invites you to a panel about Afro-Peruvian identity and culture. The conversation will address the challenges faced by the Afro-Peruvian community, including discrimination and inequality, as well as the community’s remarkable resilience and cultural contributions to Peru.

Through personal perspectives and lived experiences, the panelists will explore what it means to be Afro-Peruvian in a country undergoing rapid social and economic change — and discuss how culture, art, and academia can promote inclusion and understanding.

Before the film, it will also be possible to buy ceviche and snacks from Limon Pop-Up.
