Memory Homes: Workshop for Children // HOLA FRIDA!

In connection with the screening of HEI FRIDA! at Cinemateket on 16 NOV., there will be a workshop for children inspired by the colors, images, and paintings of Frida Kahlo.

«Memory Homes» is a workshop for children and families, where artist Alejandra Aguilar Caballero invites participants to decorate and assemble a paper house inspired by the colors, imagery, paintings, and the magical, surreal universe of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.

In the workshop, children receive an A3 sheet with a house template and use colored pencils and markers to draw their own Frida Kahlo-inspired house after watching the film Hola, Frida!. They then cut, fold, and glue their drawings into three-dimensional paper houses. Finally, the children get to take their house home as a memory of a creative and inspiring day.
