A Lost Man
Exhausted, Fouad is running desperately through Beirut’s streets. The year is 1985. When we meet him again 22 years later, he is still on the run. On the border between Syria and Jordan, Fouad meets Thomas, a French photographer who travels around the world researching extreme experiences. Thomas photographs people he meets, preferably in the evening, and often women in intimate situations. He snaps a picture of a hurried and illicit encounter between Fouad and an unknown woman. Thomas becomes engrossed by Fouad’s secretive behaviour. In taxis, along the streets and in gloomy hotel rooms, they get involved in each other’s lives and destinies. Irrevocably, Fouad’s own secret is also revealed. akl
