Rachel

The 23-year old activist Rachel Corrie was crushed by an Israeli bulldozer when she tried to stop a Palestinian house from being demolished. Director Bitton is looking for answers: did the driver see Rachel or not? Through testimonies from activists, doctors and politicians, as well as archive footage favouring both sides, an extremely complex and brutal picture is created of a hopeless political situation. Rachel is a rough documentary which will remain with the viewer for a long time. The Norwegian Theatre staged an adaption based on Rachel’s story earlier this year. ee
