Cocaine Unwrapped
Journalists and photographers take great risks being present in the world’s conflict zones. Over the past five years more than 70 Mexican journalists and photographers have been killed. Most of them have been critical of the drug cartels in the country. We focus on Mexico in a discussion about the safety of journalists and the challenges the media deal with in conflict zones. Why do we need the critical journalist? Do we fully understand the scope of the drug war in Latin America? Editor of Le Monde Diplomatique Truls Lie meets the director of Cocaine Unwrapped Rachel Seifert and Benedicte Bull from the University of Oslo for a panel discussion.
