This is one of only three surviving films from the hands of director Sadao Yamanakas. He died barely 28 years old, and was described as follows by director Kazuo Kuroki: «I was amazed that a young man in his 20s could create such perfection.» This comedy flows like water, with enough depth and ideas to inspire a new generation of filmmakers. krj
