Jodorowsky is one of those directors that have to wait many years between films, years where they collect ideas and visions, which explode in an orgy of narrative joy once given the chance. Santa sangre is one of these, filled to the brim with enough ideas to occupy a normal filmmaker for a lifetime, but Jodorowsky is neither a normal filmmaker, nor a normal soothsayer, cartoonist or philosopher. krj
