So Long, My Son
So Long, My Son is an epic family saga that wisely dwells on with grand themes such as love, grief, and forgiveness. Spanning over three decades, it chronicles the life of one Chinese family and how they are affected by the country's strict birth planning policies as well as by rapid economic and political transformation. Following a tragic accident, a married couple moves to the big city to start a new life and deal with the loss of their only son. However, sometimes it can take a lifetime to say goodby to a loved one and to the life one has left behind. Save the date for one of the great discoveries at this year's Berlin film festival.
