A stunning afrofuturistic, sci-fi-punk-musical filled with a visually wondrous amalgamation of themes.

In the hiltops of Burundi, we meet a group of coltan miners. Our protagonist This film starts by telling the story from Neptune’s point of view. We are introduced to Matalusa that manages to escape these harsh conditions.

He is drawn to the Cyberspace where he meets Neptune, an intersex runaway and the Cyberspace people. They have a hacker collective, where they live in a village made of computer parts. They are oppressing capitalism and leaning towards the technological age.

The story is brought to life with musical and songs, as well as colorful costumes and a talented cast. The story is engaging and fun to follow.

Anisa Uzeyman was born and raised in Rwanda, she is an actress that has worked in movies, as well as onstage. She has also directed four other movies. One of them is Dreamstates (2016), which was awarded at the Los Angeles Film Festival 2016. Saul Williams is a rapper and artist from New York. He is also a well known author, poet and actor. Neptune Frost is his debut as a director.
