Piro Piro

Miyoung Baek is an animation director and illustrator from South Korea. She has created a series of beautiful short films that have been screened at festivals worldwide, and in this program, you get to watch a total of five films.

PIROPIRO (9 min)

This is the story of two birds: Piropiro from the forest and Dalle, who lives in a flower shop. They meet by chance in the flower shop, and together, they fly into the forest.

DANCING IN THE RAIN (2 min)

Two cute rabbits dance the Argentine tango in the rain. It can't get any sweeter than this. 

LE MOT (7 min)

Two boys sit on opposite sides of a long table, throwing balls to each other. Along the way, the balls transform into the strangest things, like an elephant, for example!

ON EDGE (2 min)

A little story about the urge to turn around without any reason.

YOU WERE SO PRECIOUS (20 min)

A world welcomes the souls of forgotten things. What stories do they have to tell?

Miyoung Baek (f. 1986) er en sør-koreansk animatør. Hun studerte animasjon ved Kaywon School of Art and Design, og senere EMCA (Ecole des Métiers du Cinéma d'Animation) i Frankrike og ved Seoul National University. Filmene hennes har blitt vist på festivaler over hele verden, og vunnet flere priser.
