A Ravaging Wind
A film adaptation of one of the best novels from Argentina in recent times. This is an unusual road movie with fantastic performances from actors, including the Chilean Alfredo Castro.
A preacher and his daughter meet the shop owner and his son in a mechanic's workshop in the middle of nowhere. While waiting for the car to be repaired, their different personalities clash over questions of faith – in God, society, love, and in themselves. At the same time, a storm of biblical proportions brews. The film is an adaptation of one of the best novels in recent Argentine literature and is set in El Litoral, the Argentine equivalent of the American Deep South.
