Bury Your Dead
In this surreal tale, Edgar dreams of escaping his small town with his girlfriend Nete, before discovering that she has joined a cult.
The world stands on the brink of apocalypse, and the journey through a decaying Brazil is perilous. Along the way, he is joined by former priest Tomás. Director Marco Dutra, known for the innovative werewolf musical Good Manners, once again delivers a surreal and creative work. As in his earlier films, Bury Your Dead poses thought-provoking questions about Brazilian society and, this time, the role of religion within it.
