Corina

A warm and funny coming-of-age story about taking control of your own life.

Corina is set around the turn of the millennium in the Mexican city of Guadalajara. This is where Corina lives. She suffers from agoraphobia – a fear of open spaces – and spends most of her time in the apartment she shares with her mother, at a neighborhood café, or in the basement office of the publishing house where she works. More than anything, she dreams of becoming a writer, but that dream feels far out of reach. One day, when she rewrites the ending of a novel by a popular author without their consent, she is suddenly forced out of her comfort zone.

Meet the Director & Afterparty

The film’s director, Urzula Barba Hopfner, will attend the screening on NOV 15 at 18:15 in Vega 1, and take part in a conversation after the film.

Later the same evening, there will be a party in the Lower Foyer at Vega Scene, in collaboration with the Mexican Embassy and Mexicanos En Noruega.
