MA - Cry of Silence
18-year-old Mi-Thet works long days at a textile factory, sending the little she earns back to her family in the countryside. Her life consists mainly of long hours at the factory and nights in a cramped dormitory. The ruthless factory manager exploits the workers, and the women decide to go on strike. This is a powerful coming-of-age story, and at the same time a call for fair treatment in today’s Myanmar.
