Baraka Bah
Baraka Bah is the daughter of activist Dr. Stella Nyanzi and one of her three children, along with her twin brothers, Wasswa and Kato. They spent their early years in Uganda under their grandmother’s care, growing up within an extended family and attending private schools. Between 2021 and 2022, following threats to Stella’s safety, she fled Uganda with Wasswa, while Baraka and Kato traveled with Stella’s sister to Kenya. The family later reunited and relocated to Germany under the PEN Writers-in-Exile program. Baraka graduated high school in Munich in 2024, and the twins are also adapting to life there.
