Champion

Champion is based on the true story of Bold Pilot, a legendary Turkish race horse that won an impressive series of championships in the mid 1990s. This is a touching and captivating story about the road to glory, and about the strong emotional ties between Bold Pilot, the jockey Halis Karatas, and Begum Atman, the young woman whose family owned the horse. Champion is an impressive piece of filmmaking which is guaranteed to make you cheer as well as cry. Although it pushes all the right emotional buttons, it never becomes akwardly melodramatic.

Ahmet Katiksiz (b. 1981) is a Turkish director and producer. He has previously directed the feature film Endless Love (2017), but he has worked mainly with TV series.
