THE MANGAPOLIS DAY

Sunday NOV 20th we invite everyone to the festival’s anime day Mangapolis. This year our focus is on the sub genre cyberpunk and will screen brand new animes, cult classics and overlooked works.

The cyberpunk expert Jasper Sharp visits Vega Scene to teach us about the genre, Hadeland folkehøgskole is hosting a drawing workshop and the Japanese Embassy will arrange a chopstick competition and a Koto concert. 

There will be film screenings all day and a packed program in Nedre Foaje at Vega Scene.

• 13.15 – Film screening: HOWL’S MOVING CASTLE (in Norwegian)
• 15.00 – Koto concert by Liv Lande in Nedre foaje.

• 15:45 – Film screening: THE HOUSE OF THE LOST ON THE CAPE
• 17.00 – Drawing workshop with Hadeland folkehøgskole
• 18.00 – Film screening: AKIRA

The event is done in collaboration with Hadeland folkehøgskole and the Embassy of Japan in Oslo, and is funded by Japan Foundation.
