The first weekend of the festival will feature a Japanese film weekend at Cinemateket in Oslo! The program will be packed with Japanese films, a celebration of diplomatic cooperation between Norway and Japan, and a Japanese activity day.

Below you’ll find the Japanese program for the weekend:

Friday 7. NOV

Hot Spring Shark Attack. En kvinne sitter i forgrunnen mens en stor hai hopper opp bak henne med munnen åpen.

Japanese films will be screened in both Tancred and Lillebil all day, with a celebration of the diplomatic cooperation between Japan and Norway before the screening of Scarlet.

Saturday 8. NOV

Happyend. Bildet viser flere personer fra et overvåkningsbilde, hver med et identifikasjonsnummer som rammer inn ansiktene deres.

On Saturday, there will be Japanese activities in the foyer from 14.00 to 17.00, including Taiyaki sold by Fuglen, a manga and origami workshop hosted by FoNoMa and the Japanese Embassy, as well as kendama and other traditional Japanese games.
